We won our game tonight 5-1. It’s weird, but when we have our entire team we seem to win our games. I played fairly well tonight. Towards the end of the game I had quite a few shots right in front of the net.  Sadly, none of them went in. That goalie’s gear was huge! It was fun though. It’s always fun to win.

We are supposed to have our make-up game this Friday night at 7:30 PM. Not sure if I am playing yet. It depends on whether I can get off work on Friday. We are having an inter-office move that I might have to do. I really hope I can get the day off so I can drive Sarah to the airport in STL so she doesn’t have to go alone. I also want to hang out with John and Romain! We’ll see.

…on the team. At least I feel like it. I always get pushed off a position or taken off the ice when we need to “stack” the lines. I think I can keep up with the others. It just kind of bugs me. Oh well. We lost our game tonight 6-4. It seems that when we do not have our entire team things go poorly. I thought I did pretty well considering I walked a marathon that past 4 days. One thing I do know is I think it’s time to get back to the gym. I just hope I don’t have to work until 6:00 PM anymore. We have been so damn busy at the office.

They have rescheduled our make-up game for Friday, March 12th at 7:30 PM. I might be in St. Louis so don’t plan on coming yet.

Sarah and I went to Las Vegas this last week. She got there last Monday for a tradeshow she was going to be working at. I arrived on Wednesday. I had to drive to Tulsa to fly out and barely got there in time because I didn’t know how far away it was and there were road closings due to construction.

Wednesday night we went to dinner at Nobu, a really nice sushi place in the Hard Rock hotel. The quality of the fish was perfect. Great dinner. After we ate we hit a few casinos to play some slots.

Thursday Sarah had to work again so I went walking around trying to hunt down a fan. It was too quiet and warm in our room! I bet I walked 3 miles. After she was finished up we went for another walk. We had some lunch at Diablo’s, a giant plate of nachos. Those would come back to haunt me later. For dinner we went to Tom Colicchio’s CraftSteak. It was pricey, but amazingly delicious. Very cool restaurant. Wen wanted to go there because we watch Top Chef! After dinner we hit the casinos again. ur last destination of the night was our hotel. We played the slots again for quite a while. I won $140 on the penny slots!!

Friday was another long day. We took a cab to the Bellagio for our breakfast buffet. We ate sooo much food. It was tasty. After the stuffing our walk continued. We hit the north end of the strip. From the Bellagio down to Encore then back to Paris. It was a long walk.

Our feet took a real beating, but Sarah and I had a great time in Vegas! I wish I could post all of the photos.

We lost our game tonight 6-1. The other team was playing super well and just could not get it together. We also had not played in three weeks due to the Zamboni BS last week and Super Bowl. I was fairly sluggish out there mostly because I have not been to the gym in quite a while. I’m hoping we can get it going again next week.

So we have this new house being built on the corner. When they poured the concrete it looks small so we sort wondered what was up. Well they started the second floor today. It is going to have an entire full-sized floor up top. That will make this new house look entirely different than every other house in the neighborhood. It is also right on the corner, the first thing you see when you come in. I really hope they can make it blend in with the exterior colors. Either way it is going to stick out like a sore thumb.

They canceled our hockey game tonight because someone ran over a puck with the Zamboni. Damn it! I really wanted to play tonight too. I have been feeling bad most of the day and playing a game usually gets it out of my system. I guess I will just have to feel bad all night. Sarah is in California too so it’s going to be a bit boring around the house. I guess one plus is there is Olympic hockey on the television. I wish I had some ice cream.

It’s V-day morning and I’m preparing to leave today for another work trip – this time to Orange County.  We celebrated Valentine’s Day last night though and had a fabulous time. Tim cooked up a fantastic meal of crab legs, risotto, asparagus and cheese biscuits. We had a great night.  So glad to have Tim as my valentine for the 4th year and many more to come!   I hate that I have to leave today, but at least I’ll be back late tomorrow night. I bought a giant 3 pound potato from Dillons tonight. It took 2.5 hours to bake and threw off our dinner until almost 9 PM. I have no idea why I thought it would be a good idea to try to eat it. LOL. We also had some turkey filets with some fresh green beans sauteed with mushroom, red onion and balsamic vinegar. It was a pretty good meal minus the giant potato that tried to kill me.

They are building another new house on our street and they have made a complete mess of the street and empty lots. I guess we have a lot of red clay around us. They have made 3-4 large piles of the stuff and while they have been moving it around with their back hoe, they have dropped it all over the road. Everyone’s driveway and cars are completely covered with it. So far we have not tracked any into our house. I hope we get enough rain and snow soon to wash it away. The loose gravel they put everywhere is another story. I have a feeling our neighborhood is going to be messy for a while.

We lost our game tonight 4-3. We weren’t really clicking like we were last week. I was a little tired too and only managed to get about 5 shots on net. The other team’s defense was great tonight. The game was close the entire night with the tie-break coming with less that 20 seconds left. Good game.
